Originally released as a worksheet for the Weeknight Writers Pro community, Writer’s Block Buster: Your Guide to Getting Un-Stuck walks you through the journalling process our founder, Dianna Gunn, has used for the past 10 years to find the root cause of her writer’s block. Writer’s Block Buster is divided into two sections:

Mental health: Questions to determine whether your block is caused by burnout, depression, or other issues related to your mental health or current life circumstances. This section also explores the possibility of taking a break or switching projects to shake things up and get your brain back into writing mode.

Story problems: Questions to help you understand how–or if–the scene you’re working on fits into your planned character and story arcs, plus how you can change the scene to better fit your intended story.

The best part? Many writers don’t even need to complete the full workbook. You can often find the answers you need by completing just one section—and you might not even need to finish a full section. In fact, several of our members have found the root cause of their writer’s block in just five questions.
