For years, we’ve offered our membership program at extremely low prices—just $5 per month for the core membership and $10 per month for the advanced membership.
Affordability has long been one of our core values, so we’ve been happy to provide community support at these low prices. It’s given us the opportunity to support writers who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford access to the structured community, workshops, and activities we offer.
But it’s time to level up what we offer—and that means levelling up our prices so we can have the resources to do bigger, better things.
So on January fifth, 2026, we’re raising prices to $20 per month for the core membership and $35 per month for the advanced membership.
These new prices will allow us to do a whole bunch of exciting things, including:
- Running more Writing Roundtables, our in-depth sessions with paid panelists—and be able to offer higher rates to attract bigger and better panelists
- Creating video workshops around a variety of topics, from story planning to the basics of self publishing and marketing
- Running more writing sprints and other structured activities in the members-only Discord
- Working with more brands to bring our members amazing deals like the Storyfyre partnership offer announced this October
And to do it all while continuing to run our free events, from our weekly Bluesky chat to our annual Storycrafting Session to the free components of First Draft Fall.
What the membership price change means for you
If you’re already a member: We’re incredibly grateful for your support so far, and as one of our early supporters, you get to keep your current membership pricing!
If you sign up between now and January fifth, 2026: You’ll be considered one of our early supporters, which means you’ll get to stick with the current pricing—$5 or $10 a month, depending on your tier—through January 2026 and beyond.
If you sign up after January fifth, 2026: You’ll sign up at the new prices. That’s either $20 per month for the core membership or $35 per month for the advanced membership.
In other words, now is the time to sign up if you want to lock into our low membership prices!
